ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Candidates running for the House of Representative positions came to Rockford today to talk about their goals and meet with voters.

The League of Women Voters of Greater Rockford hosted the event at the Unitarian Church. Candidates for the 67th, 68th, and 69th districts attended the meeting in hopes of spreading their message to the people and maybe garnishing some new votes. After the formal forum, the public was able to chat with the candidates in a more social manner.

"We all are members of our community and the constituents need to be able to connect with us and understand that we actually have their best interest at heart," said Angie Bodine, 69th district candidate.

The 67th, 68th, and 69th representative positions are currently held respectively by Litesa Wallace, John Cabello and Joe Sosnowski.
