Spahn & Rose Lumber names new vice president

DUBUQUE, Iowa (WIFR) - Spahn & Rose Lumber Company has appointed a new vice president.

The company says John Cook will take the position effective Feb. 15. He will be responsible for vendor and inventory management, purchasing, assortment planning and product distribution.

Cook started his career with Spahn & Rose in 1991 and has worked in three of the company's locations. He has been general manager of the Dubuque yard since 2011.

Spahn & Rose has been in business since 1904. The company is headquartered in Dubuque and has 24 facilities throughout Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin.
