No wake ordered in Winnebago and Ogle Counties

OGLE COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) -- Heavy rains from Wednesday night's storm is also leading waters to rise on the Rock River.

Winnebago County Sheriff Gary Caruana and Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle have issued no wake ordinances for the Rock River in their respective counties.

The National Weather Service continues a flood warning for the Rock River until Friday, saying the Rock River could rise as much as 13.5 feet.

Authorities warn in addition to flooding, boaters could run into debris hazards like logs.
