ROSCOE, Ill., (WIFR) -- The Dane County Coroner's Office has confirmed that yesterday's fire victim has passed away.

Identified as Jeffery Dover, 57, of Roscoe, Illinois, the victim was flown to UW Madison after a storage facility fire on Route 251.

ROSCOE, Ill., (WIFR) -- The storage facility fire in Roscoe "appears to be accidental," says Chief Donald Shoevlin, Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department.

The Office of State Fire Marshall is still investigating the incident.

"We went to the fifth alarm which brought in 16 neighboring departments," says Chief Shoevlin, adding, "we arrived on the scene within six minutes of being dispatched and one third of it was fully involved."

The building, on Hwy 251, is a storage unit housing a couple cars, snowmobiles and tires. Some of the tires were inflated, creating a initial defensive approach.

Chief Shoevlin says, "upon arrival, we were informed of a burn victim. Treatment initiated immediately with transport to UW Madison via helicopter."

As of now, no update has been provided on the victim.
