ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Midway Village Museum explores how the fashion, music and politics of the 1960s impacted our area in a new exhibit opening Friday.
"The Generation of Love and War" display features photos, clothing items, records, board games and other artifacts from the 1960s.
The museum says the exhibit uses these items to depict a time of conflicting values on race, war, wealth and social beliefs.
While the exhibit is open, the museum will host lectures on the music of the time and John F. Kennedy's connection to Rockford. It runs through February 28th.
