ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - A 24-year-old Rockford man is arrested on drug charges after Winnebago County Sheriff's deputies say they saw a drug sale.
Deputies working with the narcotics unit say they stopped Denzel Henson after he allegedly sold drugs to someone in the area of 5th Avenue and 9th Street last Thursday.
Investigators say they recovered 3.3 grams of heroin and 1.5 grams of crack cocaine as well as an illegal handgun on Henson. They say Henson was recently paroled from the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Henson is charged with delivery of cocaine 1-15 grams, possession with intent to deliver heroin 1-15 grams and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
Henson is considered innocent until proven guilty.
