Rockford man arrested for violation of the FOID card act

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A Rockford man is arrested for violation of the firearm owner’s identification (FOID) card act at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Washington Street.

Police say 18-year-old Jerome Davidson was driving his car in the area of Washington Street when someone in another car began shooting at him.

Investigators say Davidson’s car was struck by gunfire and damaged.

During the investigation, officers found drug equipment and ammunition inside Davidson’s car.

Jerome Davidson was arrested and charged with violation of the firearm owners identification card act and possession of drug equipment.

Davidson is considered innocent until proven guilty.
