ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Those looking for a successful weight-loss program might want to stop by OSF in Rockford. The hospital's Health Management Resource Program is named one of the best diets in the U.S. News & World Report of best diets of 2018 rankings.

Manager of wellness and weight management at OSF Adam Schaffer credits the plan's success with a focus on long-term behavioral changes. Schaffer says the program works to build new food and exercise habits in participants so they not only lose the weight but can maintain the loss. The plan involves meal replacements and behavioral therapy.

One participant says she's lost 135 pounds since starting the program last March.

"The best part is it's decision-free. And then you can incorporate the exercise, they teach you in those classes, the classes are key, they teach you to eat and incorporate foods and what you should incorporate," says Jenny Barker.

This year the program was ranked number one for quickest weight loss.
