Restoration Cafe drive-thru opens

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- A new drive-thru opens in the Stateline, doing some good for our morning caffeine intake and doing some good for the community too.

The Rockford Rescue Mission launches a brand new drive-thru service at Restoration Cafe on West State Street, perfect for those on the go.

The Cafe supports the mission's service for homeless and hurting men, women, and children and even provides them training.

"It is a vocational training program for people to come into our recovery program, they're here for nine to twelve months, trying to restore their lives, often they don't have any work experience, so everybody that is working here to the back is a resident," says Rockford Rescue Mission Teresa Reeverts.

The drive-thru is selling coffee for only $1.
