ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Daniel Biss announces Litesa Wallace, 67th District State Representative, as his running mate Friday and candidate for Lieutenant Governor.
The pair shared a video with their supporters Friday morning on twitter about their partnership and their plans to move Illinois’ middle class and working people forward. Wallace says she is honored to be selected as Biss' running mate, saying they both have spent years working for the average Illinois citizen.
"I think the biggest goal is going to be to make sure that people whose voices have not typically been heard in Springfield or whose voices get drowned out, that those voices are magnified and were able to come up with a shared vision for what makes our state better for everybody, not just those with certain resources and not just those who may have some political cloud," says 67th District State Representative, Listesa Wallace.
Daniel Biss says in the House, Wallace has proved to be an ally of working families and a skilled policy-maker who has the ability to lead legislators to support the causes she believes in.
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Illinois gubernatorial candidate Daniel Biss names his running mate for Lt. Governor as Rockford 67th District representative Litesa Wallace.
The Democratic State Senator dropped his previous running mate earlier this week over disagreements on the candidate's stance on Israel.
"Litesa Wallace is someone I can trust to fight for the middle class and working people", says Biss. "As a single mom and sole breadwinner for her family, she can understand the struggles of the millions of Illinoisans who are trying to get by".
