UPDATE: The Winnebago County Coroner's Office says the body of 53-year-old John Ihus was found floating in the Rock River underneath a dock behind the American Lombardi Society.
The coroner says Ihus had been in the water for a little while and they are waiting on more studies to rule a preliminary cause of death.
Toxicology results will be available in about two weeks.

UPDATE: ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - The Winnebago County Coroner's Office says they were able to identify the man found dead in the Rock River Monday. They are not releasing the name until the family is notified, but say the man is 53-years-old and from Rockford.
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Rockford Police are investigating after a body was discovered in the Rock River.
Rockford Fire is on the scene in the 200 block of Olive Street for a body recovery. We're told the Winnebago County Coroner has also been called to the scene.
