Police investigate armed robbery on South 6th St.

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Rockford Police say two people were victims of an armed robbery around 10 p.m. Friday night, near the 1200 block of South 6th Street.

The victims told police two suspects approached them as they were walking on South 6th Street, one armed with a handgun. They say the suspects told them to give them their property, then they fled the scene.

Police say both victims were unharmed.

The victims describes the suspects as two black males around 20-30 years old, both around 6 feet tall.
