WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) – More than 400 Stateline students learn about a career in manufacturing and what it takes to work in that industry.

Students from Winnebago High School visit Specialty Screw Corporation. Their trip included a tour of the 80,000 square foot manufacturing facility to learn about the process of cold cutting, which is taking coils of wire, cutting them into sections, and then molding them into shape. Specialty Screw’s President Michael Nicholas says now is a great time for young people to enter the world of manufacturing because it’s changing.
