ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- The community can celebrate the holidays both day and night at the Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens with the All Aglow Exhibit and the brand new Sinnissippi Station Model Garden Railroad Exhibit.

More than 160,000 LED lights will cover the conservatory and surrounding gardens this holiday season. Visitors are transported to a magical miniature world as six g-scale trains and trolleys run all around the tropical setting of the conservatory. This exhibit displays the plants interacting with trains and all the miniature Rockford landmarks that are constructed out of natural materials.

"Trains are near and dear to everybody from young to old. It always brings back a little bit of childhood magical feeling, so it was something that we thought would be able to come in. We were able to do that through the generous donation of the Nicholas Family Foundation and now we'll own this exhibit, so it will become a holiday tradition moving forward," says the Nicholas Conservatory Facility Manager, Kelly Moore.

Nicholas Conservatory has events going on throughout the holiday season and managers say there will be sponsorship opportunities on the miniature buildings at the exhibit in the near future. The All Aglow Exhibit will run through January 7th.
