Mosquitoes in Boone County test positive for West Nile Virus

BOONE COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) -- The Boone County Health Department says a pool of mosquitoes collected between August 4th and August 18th have tested positive for West Nile Virus.

The health department says they have not found any positive cases in birds or humans. Boone County is the 50th county in Illinois to report a positive mosquito test. Four human cases have been reported throughout Illinois in 2017.
