WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) -- Winnebago County Animal Services is asking for help, saying they are bursting at the seams with potential pets this summer.

Right now, the shelter has around 40 dogs and 70 cats available for adoption, with many other animals who are waiting for a home as well.

If we don't want a new permanent pet, there is an option to foster pets who need the extra care. All foster volunteers must be Winnebago County residents.

If you are able to help Winnebago County Animal Services or have any questions please call 815-319-4100 or visit wcasrock.org for more information. To fill out a volunteer/foster application, please visit http://www.wcasrock.org/index.php/support/volunteer.
