ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Investigators make an arrest following a fire at a Rockford home last week on Jacqueline Drive.

28-year-old Anthony James Cooper faces four counts of arson following the fire that started early Thursday morning.

Rockford fire crews say a dog alerted the family of four to the fire. Everyone made it out safely but all of them were treated for smoke inhalation.

Rockford Fire Division Chief Matt Knott says Cooper knew the family but did not live there. The fire caused about $3,000 in damage.

Cooper is considered innocent until proven guilty.
