ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - A drop in temperatures creates the perfect time to pack up snow for the Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition at Sinnissippi Park.

With help from snowmakers at the Alpine Hills Snow Park, the mounds of snow will be packed up and shipped over to Sinnissippi Park. Crews will load the snow into blocks that are 6 feet long, 6 feet wide and stand 10 feet tall.

The snow sculpting competition begins next Wednesday, Jan. 17 and runs through Saturday, Jan. 20.
