Local donation options for Harvey victims

Here are some ways you can help Harvey victims from right here in the Rockford area:

Napleton Auto Group: Napleton's will be accepting clothing, medical supplies, baby items, diapers, non-perishable food, bleach, and paper products. In addition we will be donating $25 for every new or used vehicle purchased from September 15th to 30th to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

Spahn and Rose Lumber - they will match donations they receive for The Salvation Army – Hurricane Harvey Relief up to $10,000.

Sullivan’s Foods – Taking cash donations through Labor Day. Sullivan’s Foods will match up to $25,000 to purchase a truckload of groceries. The truck will be donated by Dave Beverley of Anne’s Landscape in Freeport.

American Red Cross and Walmart: During the campaign, customers can donate any amount to the American Red Cross at registers in Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs or on Walmart.com and Samsclub.com. By texting WALMART to 90999 customers also have the option to donate $10 via their wireless carrier.* For every $1 donated, Walmart will contribute $2 worth of cash or, at Walmart’s option, needed product to the American Red Cross, up to $10 million. Walmart’s product contributions will be valued at Walmart’s cost. The campaign will run from August 31, 2017 through September 6, 2017.
