Investigators have an arrest and search warrant out for gun shop burglary suspects

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Local gun shop investigations continue with an arrest and search warrant issued for a Rockford residence.

The Belvidere and Loves Park Police, along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, & Firearms have followed up numerous leads pertaining to the gun shop burglaries in the area over the last several days. Investigators received an arrest warrant for another juvenile man for burglary.

Around 2:45 Saturday afternoon, Rockford Police SWAT team members, Belvidere Police, Loves Park Police, and the ATF conducted a search warrant on a house in the 3300 block of Sablewood Drive. Several items of evidence were collected.

The investigation will continue and police say additional arrests are anticipated.

Anyone with information leading to an arrest will receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
