Indoor Pickleball comes to UW Health Sports Factory

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – UW Health Sports Factory is offering a fun new way for us to burn off that turkey and pie.

The Park District says they’re able to expand the game of pickleball thanks to the space at UW Health Sports Factory which gives them enough room to play nine games at once.

Pickleball is played on a badminton court with a lower net and a ball similar to a whiffle ball and wooden paddles.

We can drop in to play until January, when the Park District wants to start a pickleball program.

Drop-in pickleball takes place Monday through Friday (except November 24-25, 2016) from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per session.
