ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Illinois Gubernatorial candidate Daniel Biss moves his campaign to the hometown of his running mate, setting up a field office in Rockford.
Biss and State Representative Litesa Wallace are the second to open a campaign office in Rockford during the gubernatorial election. Fellow Democrat Chris Kennedy also has an office in the Forest City.
Biss says the new office in the 300 block of Mulberry Street will help his grassroots campaign reach voters. Because of Wallace’s connection to Rockford, Biss says this is a perfect place to set up shop.
The senator says he is thrilled to have a Rockford resident on the ticket, and with so much enthusiasm in the area, the campaign needs a home in the stateline.
