FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) - The Freeport Area Church Cooperative hopes a 48-hour food drive will help fill their shelves this holiday season. The group says donations will help feed 3,000 people in need.

"90-95 percent of food in the pantry is donated by the community. It's things like this that we do to restock our coffers," says Jay Hurder.

The food drive will continue from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Cub Foods on South West Avenue in Freeport.
