Starting June 14, Walmart is launching its online grocery pickup service at Supercenters in Rockford (7219 Walton Street), Belvidere (2101 Gateway Center Dr.), and Roscoe (4781 E. Rockton Road).
The service is free and lets customers order their groceries online and then pick them up at their local Walmart without even needing to leave their cars.
To order online, customers will first go online to grocery.walmart.com or use the Walmart Grocery mobile app, select a local store, and begin creating their shopping list. At checkout, buyers will choose a pick-up time. Trained personal grocery shoppers will then pick up the items on customers’ lists. When it’s time to pick-up their orders, customers will park in a reserved parking space and can call an associate to bring out their order and load it into their car.
Customers can begin placing orders for pickup on June 14 by visiting www.grocery.walmart.com
