Donut Boy visits Rochelle police

ROCHELLE, Ill. (WIFR) -- One Florida boy is making it his mission this summer to thank every police department across the country.

Tyler Carach, better known as "The Donut Boy", is on a sweet mission to thank the men and women of law enforcement by delivering thousands of donuts across the country. So far, the 10-year-old has dropped off more than 55,000 donuts.

He says he got the idea to buy donuts for some deputies in his hometown while shopping at a local store. He was so moved by their response that he decided to embark on a national tour.

Carach will head to Alaska in July to begin his tour through the west coast. Dunkin Donuts has partnered with him to ensure he has a healthy supply as he continues to travel throughout the country.
