UPDATE: Body found near DeKalb nature trail cause of death undetermined

DEKALB, Ill. (WIFR) -- The death of Jeremy Jacobson cannot be determined after the autopsy was completed.

Jacobson's body was so decomposed that the autopsy could not provide enough information. More tests and evidence analysis need to be done to determined a cause of death.

DEKALB, Ill. (WIFR) – The man found near a Dekalb nature trail has been identified as 47-year old Jeremy Jacobson.

The DeKalb and Sycamore Police Departments worked together to search for missing 47-year old Jeremy J. Jacobson who had been missing since September 6th. A citizen found Jacobson’s bicycle in a wooded area near the 3000 block of North First Street in DeKalb. The departments found a deceased male nearby and later identified him as Jeremy Jacobson.

An autopsy has been scheduled for September 14th.

DEKALB, Ill. (WIFR) – Dekalb County Sheriff’s deputies launched an investigation after a body was found this morning in the woods near a nature trail.

Dekalb Police say the body was found in a wooded area near the intersection of First Street and Timber Trail. Right now, the name of the person has not yet been released. We will continue to bring you updates as more information becomes available.
