ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The numbers are in for the eighth Rockford City Market and organizers say they are celebrating a new record and another successful year.

Over the 20 weeks in 2017, City Market says more than 107,000 people walked through the downtown market. Organizers say despite the coldest start the market has seen, and one of the warmest Friday nights on record for the Friday night destination, they continue to see more people head downtown to tour the businesses and shops. This year, the market saw a total of 76 vendors open up show and 42 different musical performances.
