FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) -- A trip to the mail becomes an educational field trip for some local kids.

The hands on museum of Northern Illinois makes a switch from the Eagles Club to the Lincoln Mall in Freeport giving kids a chance to take their lessons they’ll hear in the classroom into a more fun environment. The Museum Expo says they want to reach out to several topics including stem curriculum, art, history, and culture. Vice President Shirley Jordan says they are focused on preparing Stateline students for the future.

“Learn about life. What makes things go. They use their imagination in our world today. It’s all cut and dry, but they can use their imagination a lot here to,” says Jordan.

The expo will be open every day until next Tuesday.
