BYRON, Ill. (WIFR) -- Byron's population is expected to triple this weekend as hundreds from around the Stateline converge on the small town for Byronfest’s 30th Anniversary.
Byronfest kicked off Friday night with food vendors and entertainment lining the downtown. The carnival is a popular place for the kids with lots of rides and activities. The adults take in some music on two the festival stages. Many gobbled up tasty treats made by dozens of local businesses as part of the taste of Byronfest. Country singer Dylan Scott performs Saturday night at Byronfest on the Exelon Carnival Stage. Byron will be celebrating the town the rest of the night and Sunday with their annual parade at 2 p.m. Sunday is family day so no wristbands are required.
