BYRON (WIFR) – School will be in session Monday for students in the Byron School district.
The Byron Education Association says although teachers could strike on Monday, they will not. President Adam Gura says another bargaining session is scheduled for Wednesday.
Teachers have been working without a contract all school year. The Byron School Board says it can’t afford retirement bonuses, but the union says it’s all about the wording, saying what the board calls bonuses are actually incentives.
