BBB warning about gym membership scams

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – If the new year has you signing up for a new gym membership, the Better Business Bureau is urging us do our research beforehand.

The BBB put out a warning Tuesday saying that more than 4,000 people filed complaints against health clubs and gyms across the country last year. Issues range from billing to collection problems and similar complaints have already been filed this year.

Consumers can check the BBB’s complaint history for each gym that interests them as well as find additional information on selecting a gym at the attached related links.
