Auburn JROTC unit named an Honor Unit with Distinction

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - The Auburn High School JROTC unit is honored following its accreditation process.

Rockford Public Schools says following the process, which takes place every three years; the unit was named an Honor Unit with Distinction, a Gold Star Rating, the highest possible rating.

“Credit for this achievement goes to the Cadets of the Auburn Knight Battalion who received outstanding support from Auburn High School staff, administrators and Unit Cadre,” said Col. David Draeger, senior Army instructor at Auburn High School.

The ranking makes the Auburn unit one of the best in the nation.
