Arkansas blocks Medicaid for Planned Parenthood

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., (AP) -- Arkansas can now block Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood.

An 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel has made the decision on Wednesday over videos secretly recorded by an anti-abortion group.

Republican Governor Asa Hutchinson ended the state's Medicaid contract with the organization in 2015 over the videos.

Initially, a federal judge ordered the state to continue the payments to three patients who had sued over the ruling, and later expanded the order to anyone who seeks services from the organization.
