BOONE COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) -- The elderly woman who was found in Boone County this morning is in critical condition.
88-year old Frances Briggs of Kirkland disappeared from her family's farm on Tuesday October 10, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. She was last seen sitting in the family truck around 2:30 p.m.
The Boone County Emergency Management Agency Search and Rescue Team responded along with other rescue teams requested. Multiple rescue teams in the region were sent along with rescue dogs. They were also assisted by the Boone County Sheriff's Deputies, Sheriff's Reserves, Volunteer Fire Personnel, family, friends, neighbors and other volunteers.
The search faced many difficulties such as torrential rain, heavy winds and lightning. They did not have access to air resources.
Briggs was found on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at around 11:00 a.m. a quarter mile north of Bloods Point Road in a unharvested corn field. She was taken to St. Anthony's Hospital and is in critical condition.

Authorities say Frances Briggs was found in an unpicked corn field and was transported to an area hospital.
BOONE COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) -- An 89-year old woman has gone missing in Boone County according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
Police say 89-year old Frances "Babe" Briggs was last seen on Stone Quarry Road wearing a long sleeve denim shirt, jeans, grey shoes, a red ball cap, and carrying magazines. She is about 5 feet tall, 125 lbs, and has white hair and green eyes. She suffers from Alzheimer's Disease and could be confused.
