Two big donations were made tonight to help our region's oldest veterans take the trip of a lifetime.

ROCKFORD, IL. (WIFR) -- Two big donations were made tonight to help our region's oldest veterans take the trip of a lifetime.
Rockford's UAW Chapter and Fraternal Order of Eagles contributed $4,200 to Wisconsin based Vetsroll.
The money will be used to provide seven veterans a free trip to see Washington D.C.'s memorials in their honor.
Businesses in our area are being challenged by the group to sponsor their own veteran.
