ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- As prom season approaches, Stateline police are trying to warn high school students about the dangers of drinking and driving in the hopes of stopping an accident before it happens.
Today two schools held assemblies to demonstrate the dangers of driving drunk. Rockford's Police and Fire Departments along with the Winnebago County Coroner's Office staged a collision at Guilford High School and emergency crews arrived as if they were responding to an emergency. Boone County Emergency Services held a similar demonstration today at North Boone High School.
