ROCKTON (WIFR) -- Rockton-area volunteers for the Rock River Sweep will meet up Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon, after the original event was postponed due to flooding along the river.
Volunteers can meet up at Settlers Park in Rockton, and both walkers and boaters are welcomed to join.
The Rock River Sweep is being launched this year as an effort to cleanup trash along the river. It's been scheduled at many communities along the river, between Wisconsin and the Mississippi River.
For information on the Rockton cleanup, call Loren Floto at 815-624-7622.
