The winter chill has been brutal and Rockford needs your help to keep the less fortunate warm. Rockford Public Schools urges the community to come together for the "Warm Coats, Warm Hearts" clothing drive.
RPS estimates 600 coats may be needed to fill current needs in 53 schools. Your donations of new or gently used coats, boots, scarves, hats and other winter items can be brought to the Sterling Holley Center lobby on 2000 Christina Street. Items can be dropped off between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
For more information contact Lisa Wentland at 815-489-7218.
