Again, due to weather conditions, the City of Rockford Public Works Department will not be closing S. Central from Preston St. to Cunningham St beginning August 4, 2010 at 7:30 a.m. for bridge maintenance. The project has been delayed until Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 7:30 A.M. No through traffic will be allowed during this time. Detours will be posted.

The work is expected to be completed and the road open to traffic by 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday August 5, 2010.

Citizens are urged to use extreme caution when traveling near construction zones.
