From the city of Rockford:

ROCKFORD - (WIFR) The Rockford Runners State Street Mile is Saturday and several roads will be closed and restricted during the race. Local businesses will be open during the race.

East State Street will be closed from the corner of North Wyman Street east to Summit St. at 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. . Smaller streets that intersect State will also be closed during that time period. Police traffic control on arterial streets including 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th and 9th Streets will hold cars during individual heats, and will permit cross traffic only when possible. Emergency vehicle access and cars seeking access to Swedish American Hospital will be permitted as necessary

The St. Stanislaus Polish Fest is on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will close a few streets including Magnolia from Buckbee to 15th Ave and short Broadway from Seminary to Christina .
