I haven't blogged in a while because frankly there hasn't been much to say. In the last few weeks, Weekend Anchor Whitney Martin threw me a beautiful shower and my college roommates came in from out-of-town to have one last "girls weekend." Everything has been going swimmingly, and I've been as cool as a cucumber. That is until this morning. We reported a few days ago how Britax was recalling car seats. At first glance, it seemed like no big deal, I'd just have to order a part to make it safe. But then, the store where we bought our car seat called saying they've been ordered to take all of those car seats off the floor and it would be best to just buy a different one. Our car seat matches our stroller and I'd prefer to keep it that way. So I had to order a different car seat and it could take up to two weeks. Talk about stressful, the baby could be here before then. So I'm keeping the recalled car seat until the new one arrives.
It's just amazing how you can think you're on top of things, completely organized, and bam! Out of no where the to-do list becomes overwhelming. It's not even that much, just a bunch of little things. My parents arrive next weekend from out-of-state. So the extra anxiety I think also comes from the fact this could be me and my husband's last weekened "just the two of us." That's just too weird. Life will never be the same, in a good way of course.
