The economy will not get any better...one thing to remember, look at how things have gone since 1956 to now..why all the rediculous laws? Why go green? In 1956 china vowed they would get us one way or another...children are being dumbed down and have no hope, that's how you emplode a country, then you make them feel they need to save resources. For who? If you take the fight out of the citizens, and push laws on them..soon the country goes broke, then the bad guys march in, kill us all...and take the resources we were saving..greed strikes once again, and we were outsmarted..now our children and grandchildren have no future, and we have no country, even if we were still allowed to live...really take a broad look at where we've been, and where we are going...scary...have a nice day.

This is what I see that is going to happen. The Oil companies have posted the largest profits in years. But they will rise the price of gas (so the tax payer will not pay for clean-up). If you don't think we will being paying for the clean up wait and see.

I know that we need a new way to finance schools. But as I see it when ever the State or the Federal government add or increase a tax never seems to go where it is suppose too.

I am a teacher and my daughter wants to be a teacher. With the state refusing to pay schools, and what the state did to our pension. Would someone like to tell me why anyone would/should teach in this state. I told my daughter to get a job in Iowa.

Here is one for everyone to think about. Senator Burris retired for 13 years ago and is recieving a state retirement of $122,000 and also recieving a salary of $177,000 from Washington. Oh yeah here is the kicker the State Pension is for life. If he isn't re-elected he will only recieve the state pension. Can he survive?

Many of the elected officials in Washington will probably never see Washington again. They need to be voted out because of what they did with health care. The went against their voter's wishing and they deserved to be voted out. Remember this in Nov. and start cleaning house. Remove them at the polls. It will send a message to the rest who are not up for re-election.

While our state Congress is in session let's load up 1 school bus each with parents and students from each school district and send them to the state capital. They would wake up our elected officials. They need to do something about the schools and pay the money that is owned them now.

I have a real problem with the government saying they will have to cut spending on education. Why is it that they will not cut their salaries even ten percent across the board? Why are government employees taking vehicles home? Why is it that the people paying the taxes have to make sacrifices, and the government never does? When is everyone going to wake up and realize it is time to vote all incumbent piliticians out of office? The same old way of doing things is not working and has not for several years. The thought of use the money or lose the money needs to come to a stop.

Regarding the justice center law suit. I am beginning to hate living in Rockford. Everything we do ends up being wrong some how. It then costs the tax payers more to fix, or change. Can't we do anything right the first time as a city.

That Senator who is not seeking relection this year has hit the nail on the head. It is not fun being in Congress anymore. It doesn't matter if it is the Federal or the State neither of them are listening to the taxpayers. Get out and vote this Nov. and let them know that it is time to do the job they are supposed to do and quit making little deals with each other and the lobbyists.

I sent my message as I went to the polls on Feb. 2 and I'm going to send another message come Nov. Our elected officials need a wake up call. They should be looking at what they can do for us and not how much money they can make. They need to get back to the business of supporting the voters wishes and needs.
