Best Sports Vacation

Hey bloggers,

As I was preparing my things for a vacation I'm taking next week, I stared thinking about my favorite SPORTS vacation? My favorite one was when I went to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown when I was 9.   A very cool experience for anyone who's a baseball fan.  But I want to know from you, what your favorite sports vacation was or would be? Where did you go? What did you see? Any tips?

Cooperstown sounds great, Pat. My favorite vacation was a couple years ago. My family and I took a road trip to NYC. On the way, we stopped at PNC Park for a Pirates/Marlins game. We were able to buy four, front row tickets right before the game. Once we got to New York, we saw Yankees/Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium. Then, on the way home, we hit Jacobs Field for an Indians/White Sox game. My favorite park was PNC Park, and it remains the best stadium I've ever been to.

I watched the 5 oclock sports and I saw the comment from a viewer about the White Sox having a better division than the Cubs. I disagree. The Cubs division is better because four of the six teams in our division are above or at 500. The White Sox are the only team above 500 in their division.

Pat and Mike - those are great trips. I have a few favorites. One trip was to the Cayman Islands where I snorkeled and jet ski'd for the first time. As a spectator I enjoyed watching the Bears at Platteville on a family vacation to the area. There is a nearby town where you can ride on a bicycle path near old train tracks. I can't remember the name, but it was fun. (except for having a mouse join us in our cabin). I would like to go to Cooperstown in the future but my all time future favorite would be to take a vacation where the Olympics are held and watch event after event. Particularly the diving, swimming and gymnastics!
