Ingredients
1 ½ oz yeast
2 oz sugar
1 oz salt
2 oz dry milk
1 ½ oz all purpose shortening
1 lb 5 oz bread flour
2 cups water
Directions
Mix all ingredients until smooth, about 8 to 10 minutes. After mixed, knead until satin feeling and shape into a ball. Grease terra cotta flower pot really well. Most pots have a hole in the bottom, so place a small piece of waxed paper over the hole and grease well. Place ball of dough in the pot and allow to rise until the dough rises about 2 or 3 inches above the pot. Bake at 375 deg about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
To make cinnamon bread:
Use the same above ingredients, but add 2 TBSP cinnamon. When you put the dough in the pot, sprinkle cinnamon mixed with brown sugar on top. You may want to put a little butter on top of the dough in order for the cinnamon and sugar to stick to the bread. All to rise as above and bake at 375 deg about 25 minutes.
