• 2 Sticks Butter (1 cup)

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • ½ cup powdered sugar (sifted) (additional for rolling)

  • 2 cups all purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans (or walnuts)


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter, add vanilla and powdered sugar and beat until fluffy. Add flour ½ cup at a time, add salt and pecans and blend thoroughly.

Make 1” balls, and place on greased cookie sheet, bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned on the bottom.

Remove from oven and immediately roll in powdered sugar. Let cool and roll in powdered sugar again.
