Oregon Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 egg
  • 1 stick margarine or butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon, reserve for apples
  • 1 tsp. sugar, reserve for apples
  • 4 large Granny Smith apples

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°. Add egg and melted butter and mix together thoroughly.



    2. In separate bowl add flour, brown sugar and mix. Add wet ingredients to dry and blend together until mixed thoroughly, then set aside.



    3. Peel, core and slice apples into wedges or rings and lay in 8x8 baking pan. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.



    4. Spread topping over apples and bake in 350° oven until golden brown or approximately 45 minutes.
